Symposium Call for Papers

Dear young people, researchers, and academics,

We warmly invite your contributions to the International Cities4Youth Symposium, which will be held on July 11, 2025, in Sakarya, Turkey, in a hybrid format (both in-person and online).

The symposium is organized under the coordination of the Sakarya Governorship and within the scope of the Erasmus+ project "Resilient Cities and a Sustainable Future: Youth Discussing the Future of Cities" (Project No: 2024-3-TR01-KA154-YOU-000279592).

The event will address the perspectives and solution proposals of youth on current issues such as urbanization, environment, climate change, social inclusion, digital transformation, and urban quality of life.

With contributions from project partners from seven different countries, the International Cities4Youth Symposium is organized at an international level and meets the criteria for academic advancement.

Participation is free of charge.

Important Dates:

  • Deadline for extended abstract submissions: June 19, 2025 (23:59)
  • Announcement of accepted papers: June 26, 2025
  • Symposium date: July 11, 2025
  • Deadline for full paper submissions: July 29, 2025

Accordingly, you may submit your papers by using the extended abstract template available in the symposium section of the website https://cities4youth.com/symposium/Register, in line with the topics listed below.

General Requirements

  • Participants who wish to present in a language other than English must upload both the abstract and the English version of their presentation to the system.
  • Unless co-authored, an author may submit only one abstract. The same author cannot present multiple papers.
  • An author's name may appear in up to two papers—one as the sole author and another as a co-author.
  • Co-authored papers must be presented by an author who does not have another paper in the symposium.
  • NO FEE will be charged for publishing a paper in the symposium.
  • Full papers submitted by July 27 will be published.
